ACG SECURITY GROUP CORP. ANNOUNCES Next Generation of Explosive Detection Technology Ready for Production.
- Technology will be part of Roadside Bomb Detection Prototype.

Vancouver, BC - 10-05-10: ACG Security Group Corp. has announced today that its ECS© Detector line of bomb and explosive sensing products are now ready for production. This latest generation of bomb detection / explosive sensing technology is over 1000% more sensitive than other products currently available.

The ECS© Detector technology detects the presence of the chemical presence of potential explosive material including minute trace amounts of ammonia nitrate (fertilizer bombs), Trinitrotoluene (TNT), C-4 and Semtex. Semtex is a general-purpose plastic explosive used in commercial blasting, demolition, and in certain military applications Semtex became notoriously popular with terrorists because it was, until recently, extremely difficult to detect, as in the case of Pan Am Flight 103.

The ECS© Detector fills the need for inexpensive and portable sensors for the detection of both low and high explosives (LE/HE) as evidenced in recent incidents at both the Detroit airport and Times Square in New York. The systems currently used in travel centers and sensitive government locations are not sufficiently portable and are too expensive and complicated to be made available to emergency first responders in large numbers.

ECS© Detector bomb sensing products will be typically used to protect infrastructure and natural resource delivery systems. With its remote GPS and video monitoring capabilities, these devices can be deployed in areas where security personnel deployment may not be feasible or resource efficient. Applications range from airport perimeter security, building and compound security, pipeline threat monitoring and for use in open air markets and arena type scenarios.

Considerable sales interest in the  ECS© Detector line of products has come from places such as the UK, the Middle East and Dubai, India and Pakistan and other countries including Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

The ECS© Detector product line consists of a digitally processed 4 head sensor array. The array compares background and, utilizing advanced proprietary mathematic filters, monitors the changing levels of chemical compounds, comparing them to a databank of explosive chemical signatures. Once a detector device has entered an alarm state, the device transmits alarm data and streaming video to a remote monitoring facility via GPS technology.

In addition, the ECS© Detector technology will be the basis of upcoming IED mitigation detection prototype models - devices which will give soldiers the ability to remotely detect roadside bombs before they are detonated. ACG Security Group Corp. fully expects to be successfully testing the first working prototype in approximately 8 months.

This technology has been developed with an international team of scientists and experts in conjunction with one of the US national research facilities with testing completed at a private laboratory in California. ACG Security Group Corp. holds the patent for ECS© Detector, of which certain aspects of this technology and products are classified to ensure operational security.
