RAZ-FLX1000 gives law enforcement and security personnel the
ability to discreetly scan subjects for concealed weapons at useable
distance of 20meters.

the RAZ-FLX1000 is a complete ruggedized ‘plug and play’ system
that includes camera, “Heads Up’ display, software bundle and laptop.
The RAZ-FLX1000 can also be integrated with the RIM PlayBook II
Tablet for additional functionality and security. This option is
available for $1650 CAD.
Thermal
Imaging Cameras In Law Enforcement
Thermal
imaging has helped the medical world rapidly advance in recent years as
demonstrated in the recent world-wide SARS epidemic. Now,
using the
same technology, law enforcement is able to reap similar benefits.
The captured image shows a fleeing subject as he tosses his gun to the
right. The gun is highlighted due to the amount of infrared heat
transferred
from the subject’s body heat to the weapon. In the same manner, any
weapon concealed under clothing will give a similar heat “signature” to
the RAZ-FLX1000.
Scanning of groups of subjects can be accomplished quickly with
real-time results. Using the RAZ-FLX1000 as a discreet crowd
surveillance tool allows the operator to quickly change focus and
determine threat levels.
The RAZ-FLX1000 can be used as a fixed location device or in a
mobile or handheld situation and may be mounted in an optional enclosure
for protection from the elements.
Proven and existing hardware is coupled with ACG’s
v-RAID technology for an advanced space/time adaptive processing that
‘lifts’ the infrared
signal out of the environmental noise and creates a 3-D image of the data.
After this is done, ACG’s proprietary and patented advanced software
creates the image.
The
images, produced at a rate of 53 per 1/10 second, are processed at a
rate of 40GB/sec through the ACG v-RAID Digibase.
