v-RAID Radiation Detection
V-Raid Radiation Handheld Detector V-Raid Radiation Pager Style Detector V-Raid Radiation Vehicle - Mobile Detector V-Raid Radiation Port/Rail Detector
The Universal
v-RAID©
Radiation Technology is a unique device utilizing proven
technology that boasts a sensitivity efficiency rating of 97%+.
This patent pending detector technology has an excellent sensitivity to
low levels of radiation enabling the user to complete surveys with
results displayed through the devices’ signal processing system.
Results are then displayed locally and/or remotely as real-time images
on a monitor display. Coupled with the detector software, the v-RAID©
detector can display a variety of units for a wide array of
applications, take timed counts, control the audio and save survey
results for easy analysis and sharing.
As an example; the
v-RAID©
Radiation Technology, when mounted on a
truck and connected to a camera, will be able to scan a passing
vehicle (target) and “read” any source of radiation within the vehicle.
The radiation will then be converted to a spot of light located in the
target vehicle as recorded on a CCTV monitor. This provides a positive
reading and specific location of the radiation source. It will be
possible to read the radiation from a distance of 200 metres.

|
Note the glowing area at the rear of the truck in the picture. This
is an enhanced operator image of a target vehicle as scanned by
v-RAID technology. Actual images may differ according to use,
location, radioactive material, configuration, etc. |
The
v-RAID©
Radiation Technology has an advanced
space/time adaptive processing which
‘lifts’ the signal out of the environmental noise. This digital processing is
based on the quantification of the complete signal
spectrum including the noise. After this is done, the unique software
creates the radiation image. This Algorithm of the radiation image is
then reconstructed based on a high level of mathematics theory of the
Regularization method and the theory of Correlation Function high order.
The v-RAID©
Radiation Technology has a sensitivity of
approximately 5x greater than industry standard products currently in
use.
Many current radiation receivers and
commercial wireless systems have coverage range determined by the
minimum level of radiation they are capable of receiving. A major
problem of these current radiation detectors is that they produce a
large ‘noise’ which does not allow these detectors to determine a
minimum amplitude of a radiation signal.
The Universal
v-RAID©
Radiation Detector
is based on a new and upgraded technology
that was originally developed in 2004 utilizing a proprietary digital array and that of
the Multi-Channel and Multi-Function Data Acquisition System with
High-Speed Digitizers. These Solid State detectors are much smaller than
current bulky Electro-Mechanical PMT based detectors. |
